Barbara Ivy is for Sale - £25,000
Formerly Queensgate (2003) and Atlantic 4 (2005).
Rowsell and Adkin built composite hull, designed by Phil Morrison. Stronger and lighter than the flat packed plywood boats and with a far longer lifespan.
Three successful Atlantic crossings, winning the Women's pairs class (2007) and the boat still holds the 4’s crossing record of 36 days and 1 hour.
To suit 1 to 4 rowers with twin berth arrangement – acceptable as a pair or solo entry for forthcoming Woodvale Challenge races. Superior rowing seat set up and carbon fibre rudder.
EQUIPMENT: Most of the equipment required for the 2007 Woodvale race included in sale – such as sea anchor and 50m line, 3 drogues, land anchor with chain and 30m line, PUR 40 Watermaker, fixed and flexi solar panels, EPIRB, AIS receiver, VHF radio, fixed GPS, satellite phone, rowing seats, one set of Braca oars, cooker, several gas cans, grab bag contents – inc Fastfind EPIRB, PUR 6 watermaker, handheld VHF, handheld GPS. Trailer included in sale.
Plus some additional items sponsored for the last race (selection of dry bags, water bags for ballast) and 'luxury' items such as an auto-helm.
Rachel and Lin will be happy to advise the buyer as they prepare and George Simpson has an extensive knowledge of the boat.

1. Panasonic Toughbook laptop computer – new in November 07. Used daily during the 2007/8 race and in full working order on arrival in Antigua. Complete with Microsoft Office, Windows XP and G-Mail software packages. Also includes spare lithium battery, cigarette lighter charger, mains charger, serial cable, DVD/CD drive, SD card reader etc. Price £3,000.
2. Variety of Expedition Foods dehydrated meals. Dated until 2012 and available at a substantial discount. Please call for details.
